Tutemohuta Community Centre

The Tutemohuta Community Centre is located on Blake's Road, Waitahanui. It was officially opened on May 19, 2001.

Facilities include: Changing and shower rooms, health providers' room, mothers' room, large lounge, kitchen.

Seating: 100 but the hall can accommodate up to 250.

River Road Community Hall

The River Road Community Hall is located on River Road, Reporoa. It was established in 1997 and officially opened on December 20 of that year.

Facilities include: Lounge, kitchen.

Acacia Bay Community Centre

The Acacia Bay Community Centre is located close to the tennis courts at Beasley Park on Wakeman Road in Acacia Bay. It was constructed in 1993.

Facilities include: Two separate function areas, large entrance lobby, kitchen, view of the lake and Mount Tauhara.

Seating: 80 but the hall can accommodate up to 100.

The Acacia Bay Community Centre is a popular venue for small conferences, weddings and community activities.

Kinloch Hall

Kinloch Hall is located at Kinloch Domain. It was refurbished in October 2000.

Facilities include: Lounge, kitchen.

Seating: 60.

Kinloch Hall

Mangakino

Whakamaru Settlers Hall

Whakamaru Hall is an older type community hall, situated at 5 Arataki Road, RD, Mangakino (corner SH32 and Arataki Road). Phone 07 8828 092.

Facilities include: a kitchen equipped with a stove, pie warmer, zip hot water and some crockery and cutlery, toilets for men and women. There is a main hall area with stage and the south side of the hall is partitioned off with folding doors which can be opened to make extra room in the hall. Older style tables and chairs and some trestle tables are available for use.

Seating: Up to 220.

Whakamaru Settlers Hall

 


Tirohanga Settlers Hall

Tirohanga Settlers Hall is located at 839 Tirohanga Road, RD 1 Atiamuri. Phone 07 333 9373.

Facilities include: An older style community hall which has had a new annex built at the back, offering a modern kitchen with fridge, stove, pie warmer, a lounge area (carpeted) with a bar facilities. There is a main hall with stage and the men’s and woman’s toilets. The hall area is large and has a stage, toilets for men and women and a separate room attached to the main hall by a covered walkway.

Seating: Up to 220. (i.e. 150 in the main hall and 70 in the new extension.)

Mangakino FitGym/Hauora Kokiri

The Mangakino FitGym/Hauora Kokiri was officially opened in November 2006.

Hours are :

9.00am to 1.00pm - Monday to Friday (closed weekends)
6.00pm to 8.00pm - Monday & Wednesday
4.00pm to 8.00pm - Tuesday & Thursday

Closed on public holidays (Keys are available to paid members to acces FitGym outside public hours).

Membership fees:

6 months - Adult $125  Seniors & Students $100
12 months - Adult $200  Seniors & Students $160
(Students must be 14 to 18 years & have ID)

Group hire $40 per hour

Get Active tickets for casual sessions are available from Bernies or Taupo District Council office, Mangakino. Membership fees can be paid at the Community Agency office, Mangakino. Deposit of $25 is required when signing membership.

Tirohanga Settlers Hall

Turangi

Town Gymnasium

Located in the Town Centre of Turangi, the gymnasium is available for sports groups only. It is used weekly by different sporting groups e.g. badminton, junior and senior netball, basketball, miniball and local schools.

Hourly Rate: $6.50 for general public, $5.00 for schools.

Facilities include: Changing and shower rooms, kitchen is available for hire. This facility does not include crockery or cutlery and has a no smoking policy.

Seating: Up to 50 people.

Conference Room

The conference room is in the Town Centre of Turangi and is part of the Taupo District Council office.
It is ideal for small meetings or gatherings.

Hourly Rate: $6.50.

Facilities include: A kitchen is available for hire. This facility does not include crockery or cutlery and has a no smoking policy.

Seating: Up to 30 people.

Turangi Gymnasium

Tongariro Hall

Tongariro Hall is located in McLaren Park, Ohuanga Road, Turangi. It was donated to the Council by the Tongariro Senior Hall Trust for a community hall. The hall is known locally as the Senior Citizens Hall.There is a No Smoking Policy for this facility.

Hourly Rate: $20.00.

Seating: Up to 150 people.

Facilities include: Fully equipped kitchen which is included with the hire.
