Dogs available for adoption
Taupo District Council re-homes suitable dogs that have been abandoned or surrendered. There are many dogs at the Pound who need a good home, so come visit and see if we can make a suitable match.
We can arrange neutering and inoculations when you purchase the dog - all at a special rate.
Remember a dog is a 'Friend For Life'.

JD is already microchipped and registered. His owner is unable to look after him any more so he is looking for a new home. |
What we require
- A property check is done before the dog can be adopted and there is an adoption fee of $80.
- The dog must also be registered prior to leaving the pound.
What you receive
- A free collar, $60 voucher towards de-sexing and your dog will be micro chipped
- A friend for life
