Registration Form
It is a statutory requirement that all dogs in New Zealand are registered by the age of three months. You must transfer your dog registration if you move to a new district and you are also required to advise your local authority of address changes or any changes of dogs. Dog registration is renewed annually on July 1. Owners who do not register their dog(s) may be issued with an infringement.

* Special note: Working dog fee applies to the first 5 dogs registered by an owner with any further working dogs registered by the owner in this registration year at a nil fee. Working dog is a dog used for herding or driving stock. the nil fee does not apply to hunting or bird dogs.
