The Super Loo was one of the first user-pays facilities to be developed specifically for the travelling public. It is situated on Tongariro Street, beside the Traffic Lights.
Facilities and Services
For a small charge of 40 cents users have access to the toilets which include standard and Asian toilets and a bidet. Also available at a modest charge are
- showers
- toiletries
- towels
- lockers for storing travel bags
- free facilities available for the disabled
- parent room for attending to baby's needs
Taupo Super Loo is supervised at all times by attendants who maintain a high standard of cleanliness and security for the 280,000 plus visitors who use the facility annually.
