You can use this database to search for valuation and rating information about a specific property. This information does not include names, postal addresses, details of arrears, remissions or postponed rates.

The Taupo District Council Contract Landmass Technologies to conduct triennial revaluations. The next revaluation will be as at 1 July 2007 and notices will be posted to ratepayers in late September 2007.
Public Access to Name and Postal Addresses of Ratepayers
The Local Government Rating Act (2002) limits public access to name and postal address information that Council holds for rating purposes. Currently, the public has access to Council’s rating information database but cannot view rate payment details or ratepayer name and postal address particulars. A recent change to legislation now requires that name and postal address details are made accessible to the public unless the property owner advises the Council in writing that they want the information withheld.
The name and postal address information will become publicly available from 31 December 2005. Please note that the name and address information will only be made available at the offices of the Taupo District Council and that bulk collection of names and addresses is not permitted under the Act.
Ratepayers wishing to withhold their names and/or postal address information must complete the notice that will be sent out to all ratepayers in late July 2005 and return it to the Council.
