The Reserves Act is administered by the Council's Reserves and Recreation. The Reserves Act is aimed to protect special areas from any activity likely to damage or harm the environment. If prosecuted, an offender could face a maximum fine of $500.
It is an Offence to
- Create temporary accommodation in public places such as reserves, public places, car parks or any property owned or administered by Taupo District Council. This includes tents, caravans and mobile homes, etc.
