For all information in and around Southern Lake Taupo, and New Zealand, Turangi i SITE Visitor Centre offers a spacious centre, friendly staff, displays and information. Turangi i SITE provides information about Tongariro National Park, the Tongariro Crossing and Whakapapa ski area. It specialises in booking accommodation, activities and travel. Also at the centre, there is information on lake and river fishing, brochures, video and DVD facilities, Internet Cafe (8 computers), a large retail area, and toilets.
