The draft plan contains polices and proposals to guide the future use, development and protection of lakeshore reserves located between Whakamoenga Point and Five Mile Bay.
The open day will provide an opportunity for Council Officers to present information to the public, to answer any questions regarding the draft plan as well as take on board community feedback.
Taupo’s lakeshore reserves are highly valued for the recreational opportunities they provide, access to the lake for a variety of water experiences and for their amenity, ecological and cultural values.
Council encourages the public to have their say and provide feedback on the various aspects of the draft management plan including the concept plans. It is available from Council Offices in Taupo, Turangi and Mangakino or by click HERE. Submissions close on 26 October 2007 at 4.30pm and will need to be made in writing.
