The decision by three independent Commissioners regarding the WeKA was recently released.  The designation was confirmed by the Commissioners, subject to a number of conditions, including a lapse period 10 years after the date on which it is included in the District Plan.

Appeals may be lodged by submitters to the application. Any appeals must be lodged with the Environment Court and served on Taupo District Council within 15 working days from the date when submitters are served notice of the decision.
