Pursuant to the Transport [Vehicular Traffic Road Closure] Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Taupo District Council, for the purpose of enabling the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge organisers to hold the 2006 Round the Lake Cycle Event, proposes to close part of Poihipi Road and all of Tongariro Street to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder:

Roads Proposed to be Closed to Ordinary Vehicular Traffic:

• Poihipi Road – from State Highway 1 to the Western Access intersection
• Tongariro Street from the Lake Terrace intersection to the Spa Road intersection

Period of Closure
Saturday, November 25, 2006 from 7am to 10.00am

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of the objection and grounds thereof in writing before October 28, 2006 at the office of the Council, 72 Lake Terrace, Taupo.
