The Taupo District Council has received the application from Tukairangi Valley Properties Limited for subdivision resource consent as follows:

April 15 2008

IT IS PROPOSED TO SUBDIVIDE THE SITE INTO 95 RURAL ALLOTMENTS.  ALL LOTS ARE OVER 4HA IN AREA AND THE NEW SUBDIVISION WOULD PROCEED IN SEVEN STAGES OVER 20 YEARS.  THERE ARE NO NEW PUBLIC ROADS WITHIN THE SUBDIVISION AND THE SITE WILL BE SELF-SUFFICIENT FOR WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES. 

 

THE SITE IS WITHIN THE RURAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE TAUPO DISTRICT PLAN. RESOURCE CONSENT IS REQUIRED FOR A CONTROLLED ACTIVITY DUE TO ITS STATUS AT THE TIME OF LODGEMENT.

 

AS A CONTROLLED ACTIVITY THE CONSENT MUST BE GRANTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 104A.  CONDITIONS CAN ONLY BE IMPOSED IN RELATION TO THE MATTERS OVER WHICH COUNCIL HAVE RESERVED CONTROL IN ITS DISTRICT PLAN. 

 

THIS PROPOSAL WILL BE UNDERTAKEN ON LAND DESCRIBED AS LOT 14 DP 380883, LOTS 2, 6, 11-13 DP 359701, LOT 9 DP 367810 AND SECTION 35 SO 52795 BLK IV, TUHINGAMATA EAST SD AND ADDRESSED AS 626, 658, 696, 526, 448, 444, 546 AND 654 TUKAIRANGI ROAD, TAUPO


 

 

The application includes an Assessment of Environmental Effects.  The application may be inspected at the Environmental Services Office of the Taupo District Council at Gillespie Plaza, 22 Heuheu Street, Taupo during normal office hours.  Please contact Heather Wallis, Principal Planner Resource Consents on (07) 376 0752 if you have any questions regarding the above application.

 

Any person may lodge a submission [in support of or in opposition to the application]. Submissions must be addressed to the Chief Executive, Taupo District Council, Private Bag 2005, Taupo.  Submission forms are available online at www.taupo.govt.nz or from the Council offices (Taupo, Turangi or Mangakino), or you may make a submission in writing which must include the following: your name, postal address and telephone number; the specific parts of the application that the submission relates to; whether you wish to support or oppose the application; the reasons for the views expressed; the decision you wish Council to make (including whether the application should be approved and any possible conditions), and whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission at the hearing. 

 

The submission period closes at 5.00pm on Friday 16th May 2008.
