Taupo District Council hereby publicly notifies the availability of the draft management plan for the Tapuaeharuru Bay Lakeshore Reserves (Whakamoenga Point to Five Mile Bay) for public comment, in accordance with Sections 41 and 119 of the Reserves Act 1977, Section 4 of the Conservation Act 1987 and the Local Government Act 2002.

The purpose of the draft plan is to guide the future management and development of the lakeshore reserves.  A copy of the draft plan can be inspected at Councils Taupo, Turangi and Mangakino offices and libraries and is available on the Councils web-site, click HERE. 

The Council invites interested persons and organisations to make submissions in support of or objection to the draft plan. Submissions should be made in writing and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Taupo District Council, 72 Lake Terrace, Private Bag 2005, Taupo. Please confirm whether or not you wish to be heard at a future hearing.
