Council is in the process of preparing a management plan to guide the future development of recreation reserves in the lakeside settlement of Kinloch - west of Taupo.
Following receipt of public suggestions earlier in the year, a draft plan is now avalaible for further public consultation until 4.30 pm Monday March 5, 2007. This identifies new policies and proposals for the management and development of recreation reserves in Kinloch and also seeks views on the Council's intention to purchase Kinloch Public Golf Course to secure as a nine-hole community course but to also facilitate the development of a water supply plant and underlying wastewater disposal fields.
In accordance with the draft plan, consultation is also being undertaken on the classification and reclassification of various reserves as shown in the public notice below.
