Council is in the process of developing a management plan for the Tapuaeharuru Bay lakeshore reserves between Whakamoenga Point and Five Mile Bay.
A draft plan is now available for public comment until Friday, 26 October 2007 at 4.30pm. This contains management policies and proposals to guide the future management, use and development of the lakeshore reserves.
Public Open Day
An open day is being held on Wednesday 3 October from 4pm – 8pm at the Great Lake Centre to provide the community an insight into the draft management plan that has been prepared for the Tapuaeharuru Bay lakeshore reserves. To read more click HERE.

In accordance with the draft plan, consultation is also being undertaken on the declaration of various freehold lands as reserve subject to the Reserves Act 1977.
