Plans for a new collector road to link Mapara Road and Acacia Bay Road, as proposed within the Taupo Urban Structure Plan, have been put on hold pending completion of a stormwater catchment management plan for the area.

• The Mapara to Acacia Bay Collector Road open days that were scheduled to be held at the Acacia Bay Hall on April 16 and Monday April 18, 2005 were postponed. Council has apologised to the public for any inconvenience and will advise of dates for future open days once they are finalised.
