Wakeman Road Extension

A proposed one kilometre extension to Wakeman Road will provide motorists with an alternative route to the western end of Acacia Bay. The alternative route is needed to cater for projected growth of traffic volumes along Acacia Bay Road due to subdivision development in the area. Upgrading of Acacia Bay Road is not considered practicable by engineers because of the narrow width, its close proximity to the lake and concerns over stability.
