Council has allocated $623,000 to upgrade the Turangi Library. The renovation will include provision for extended study and reading areas, a computer working area and a specially designed children's section. The older part of the library is also being upgraded to include a new foyer, a better designed circulation counter and a wheelchair access toilet. Adult sections of the library will be moved to provide better public access.
