Your Community

In 2009, the Taupo District Council completed its Long Term Council Community Plan. The plan was named 'Our Neighbourhood, Our Future' and contains a strong commitment to working with our local residents within their neighbourhood.    Soon after the adoption of the LTCCP, a team of people within council discussed ways to celebrate the communities within the Taupo District. Planning began and in May 2009 a series of community events was kicked off on the Pihanga Street reserve in Taupo. Since then we have grown to provide opportunities for our locals to share their dreams and aspirations with us and for us to look at ways that we can be a part of achieving them. If we can't help, hopefully we know someone who can; You can contact us at
