Flyers tempted to visit Lake Taupo

Travellers flying out of Auckland’s domestic terminal may have been tempted to redirect their flights in September.
The Lake Taupo region had a display in Air New Zealand’s Auckland Koru Lounge during September promoting activities such as Huka Prawn Park, Taupo Bungy and HukaFalls Jet.
Representing the region were models Shawn the Prawn, Frank (Taupo Bungy’s fearless jumper) and a miniature Hukafalls jet boat. Supporting information and a promotional DVD has been supplied by Destination Lake Taupo.
Koru Lounge concierge Craig Noakes initiated the promotion as a way to showcase New Zealand. The Rotorua region was the first to be showcased in August.
“Feedback about the Lake Taupo display has been fantastic,” says Mr Noakes. “It's an easy and effective way to promote the region to a large and varied audience.”
