1. Click on Login to My Account from the main Libraries Website OR Click on My Library Account once you are in the Catalogue.
2. At the top right of the screen, type your FULL library barcode (Not just the last 6 digits) in the User Id box, enter your PIN and click Login.

3. Click Review My Account to see what you have out or Renew My Materials to renew items. Please note, items can only be renewed once and if no-one is waiting for the item.


You can now search for Library items from Taupo, Turangi & Mangakino Libraries, and for online resources from subscription databases, at the same time.
1. From the main Libraries Website, click Search the Library Catalogue under Quick Links.
2. Click New Search.
3. Enter your search terms in the search box, select Keyword, Title or Author if appropriate and then click Search.

Searching is now a bit like google. You will get lots of results and may need to refine them.
• To narrow your search, add more keywords and click search again.
• Or, on the left of the screen choose the limits that you want and click update to redo the search.

• Check Availability – Library item that is available.
• On Loan – Library item that is out on loan.
• HTML fulltext or PDF fulltext – Online resource. Access via login.

Finding a Library Item
1. Click on the Title to get the detailed record.
2. On the left of the screen you will see Holdings Information in the box below Request This Item and Related Information.


1. Once you have found the item you want in the catalogue, click Request This Item.

2. At the top right of the screen, type your FULL library barcode in the User Id box, enter your PIN and click Login.

3. Click either of the Place Hold options.

4. Choose a Pickup Location and then click Place Hold.


Why am I getting lots of results that aren't books?
The system now searches both Library Items and Online Resources from subscription databases that are only accessible to Library members.
How do I just look for books or items in the Library?
Once you have done a search, you can set limits on the left side of your search result screen. Tick the box that says Catalogue Only, then click Update and the search will be done looking for physical library items only. See Refining Your Search Results above for more information.
Why isn't my Login working?
Make sure you are entering your FULL library barcode as the User ID. In the old system, the last 6 digits could be used, but this is no longer the case. See My Account and Renewals above for more information. If you are entering your FULL library barcode and PIN and still having problems, Contact Us to check or change your PIN or for assistance.
