Reserves
If the book you are looking for is out, you can reserve it at any of our libraries, just talk to staff to find out more, perfect for when you want a very popular book that is always out, reserve it!
For $1.50 you can place a book on reserve money to be paid when you pick up the book.
Internet/Wifi Access
There are computers with broadband internet access as well as Wireless internet available in all three libraries through the Aotearoa People's Network. Anyone can access the internet for free. Session times and data usage will be limited.
Interloans
Taupo District Library belongs to the Interloans service which means we are able to borrow material from other New Zealand libraries. If you would like a book that is not in our library, why not have a chat to our friendly staff who are happy to find the best option for what you need.
The cost to interloan is $8.00 per item.
Suggest to buy
Are you interested in a subject that we have no material on or know a book/author we are missing that you think we should get? Why not fill in a suggest to buy form, this will be passed on to our buying staff who may decide to purchase the item to add to the collection, it also means you have first option to loan the book when we buy it! This is your library, help us make it better!
Photocopying
Black and White A4 and A3 20 cents per page.

Hot Picks! *
The Hot Picks! collection allows you to get the latest books straight away, jump the queue. Hot Picks are our newest collection of most recent books by the most popular authors. Hot Picks cost $5 for two weeks. For more information about Hot Picks check out

Housebound book delivery service*
Taupo Library have a housebound book service, specially for elderly or infirm patrons who cannot get to the library. Our goal is to get the books to you. Talk to staff to find out how to join our Housebound Service.
Community Meeting Rooms*
Taupo Library has meeting rooms which you can book for your events or meetings. There are three rooms available, let us know what you need. The cost is $25 per hour.

Mobile Library
