Slip on Omori Road
UPDATE 23 October 2022
At this stage our focus remains on ensuring the road is safe for vehicles and our workers. We need to ensure the slip and drop-out does not get any worse, while we get a permanent repair underway.
We have engaged WSP to investigate and prepare a preliminary design for the repair of the slip and drop-out. Geotech Drilling has completed borehole drilling and CPT testing and we now have the necessary data and information to help with preparing design options.
Once the design is confirmed we will engage a contractor to undertake the remedial works. At that point we will be in a better position to give a timeframe for completion of the permanent repairs.
We thank everybody for their patience while we work towards getting the repairs in place as soon as we can.

Following a slip on Omori Road after heavy rain, our contractor Inframax has cleared the debris and installed temporary traffic signals with the road down to a single lane.
A geotech engineer from WSP have visited the site and further geotechnical testing is required to enable them to complete a design and then engage a contractor to undertake the remedial works.
We are certainly aware that this is the only vehicular access in and out of Omori and that the Christmas Holidays are not far away and traffic will increase.
Safety is our number one priority. Our focus is to ensure the slip and drop-out does not get any worse and get a permanent repair under way.
We wont be in a position to give a timeframe for completion of the permanent repairs until we understand what those will look like.
