Our cemeteries in the Taupō District include an RSA section for people with certain military service, as well as their spouse or partner. Plaques in the RSA section are provided by Veterans' Affairs New Zealand and orders can be placed through a funeral homes, RSA or direct to the Veterans' Affairs New Zealand.
A body can only be disinterred (removed) from a cemetery in the Taupō District and relocated to another defined resting place if you have a disinterment licence from Toi Te Ora Public Health. This may be required for cultural or legal reasons, where relatives have moved to another area, if they have been buried in the wrong plot or in circumstances of mental anguish.
