Our Grants and Partnerships Policy 2021 guides how we make decisions and distribute Council funded community grants.
The total amount of annual funding to be allocated for community grants is decided through our Long-term Plan (LTP.) Through this process, Elected Members decide on the proportion of funding to be allocated through partnership agreements, and the proportion to be included in one-off contestable community grants.
For the 2021-24 period $600,000 is allocated towards supporting community initiatives each year. This amount is split between:
- Partnership Agreements $320,000
- One-off community grants.$280,000
