UPDATE 2 December 2021 |
The 2021 Library survey is now closed. Thank you to those that responded. |
The Taupō District Libraries team would love to hear about the types of activities, learning opportunities and services you might like to see provided in the future.
This survey will take about 2-5 minutes to complete, it is open to Taupō District residents and ratepayers of all ages, and your information will remain private.
Libraries in Aotearoa New Zealand are increasingly becoming places for people not only to borrow books but where they can participate in a range of activities or access information that supports their sense of wellbeing, throughout their lives.
Taupō District Libraries is undertaking a project to explore how we could be that place in our community. We want to make sure what we offer is what you would like to have, so we are interested in hearing about the types of activities, learning opportunities and services you might like to see provided by the library in the future.
Once we finish collecting and analysing the feedback, we will start to consider what we could offer, and begin to design some options. We’re interested in having the community be part of this. You can tell us if you are interested in being invited to participate in the design process by providing your email address or phone number in the survey.
Once we have finished designing any new services, we will be promoting these in the libraries, on our website and through places like the Council Facebook page and Connect.
We are not planning to stop any of our current services*. If we do get any feedback on current services, we will take that into consideration.
*As of September 2021 we are offering services based on what is permitted under Alert Level 2.
It’s important for us to tell you that it is possible not all feedback will result in a new programme, event or activity, but we will endeavour to look at all the ways to offer as many services that we can. If another group, business or organisation within our community is already offering a programme, event or activity that meets one or more needs we won’t be trying to duplicate what they offer.
If you have any questions you can contact the library at any time through the project to find out more.
If you are part of a community group and you think your group would like to talk with us about their collective needs, please let us know.
