Step 1: Open up the plan change maps on the mapping tool
Step 2: Disclaimer
After you have read the disclaimer, tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions and select ok.
Step 3: Layers
In the right hand corner you will find the layers list. You can select layers to allow you to see different information on the map. For most searches, the pre-selected layers will allow you to see all the information you will need to know about your property.
Step 4: Find your address
In the left hand corner, you will find a search box. You can type in your property address here. The map will load addresses for all over the world so you will need to type in your full address e.g. 38 Motutaiko Street, Kuratau.
If your address does not come up in the search, you can find it by simply zooming into the correct area on the map. You can zoom in using the plus and minus arrows on the upper left hand side of your screen or by using your mouse.
Step 5: Your property
You can now see if your property is in a low, medium or high flood hazard zone. You can also see how deep the water could be during a flood.
