Speed Management Plan adopted

Taupō District Council has adopted an interim speed management plan aimed at keeping road users safe. While many of the speed limit changes proposed in the draft Speed Management Plan 2022 will go ahead, others will remain unchanged following community feedback. Consultation was held between March and May this year and 249 submissions were received.

We want everyone who calls Taupō District home and visitors who pass through to be safe when using our streets and roads. That means we need the right speeds on the right roads for all road users, whether you are walking to the shops, biking to school, driving to work or making deliveries.
