FOUR PHOTOS - An Exhibition of Thought
Main Gallery, Taupo Museum
December 20 2014 - January 20 2015
Four Taupo photographers are keen to take you on a thought provoking journey this summer with a collection of photographs.
Four Photos - An Exhibition of Thought includes work by local photographers Jeremy Bright, Steven Sherburn, Adam Wallis and Peter Beazley. The group first met a decade ago and have stayed in touch photographically since.
Jeremy said the photographers' long association, differing styles and personalities led them to create the joint exhibition. We really thought outside the square with these photos and have produced four sets of work that complement each other but are completely different in style and technique, he said.
The photographers wanted to create images that were not the kind of work they would usually be associated with, but also played to their strengths.
Jeremy said the images in Four Photos - An Exhibition of Thought did not have much in common with mainstream photography. They include the use of computer generation, varied camera techniques, a left-of-centre view of the world and down-right cheeky use of a low-cost camera.
The museum is open seven days a week from 10am to 4.30pm. Entry is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors or tertiary students and free to children and Taupo District residents with proof of address.
