Lake Terrace between Ruapehu and Titiraupenga Streets has reopened as the lake front repairs enter the final stages.
The Downstream Defender stormwater separator is now in place and the new stormwater pipes have been connected, which means pumping during heavy rainfall is no longer necessary.
Installation of the watermain is continuing this week and council has agreed to renew the watermain along Ferry Road to the boat harbour. Work on this section will commence during the second week of September.
Road reconstruction is well underway and work is on schedule for the opening of the south bound lane towards the end of next week.
