Mapi gets an upgrade
Our online mapping tool the community can access online, Mapi, is getting an upgrade this summer and will be live in January.
The new version of Mapi will have an updated look and feel with tools that are easier to use to access data. It will also be compatible with mobiles and accessible on all devices, with access to new information.
Digital transformation manager Tracey May said at the moment, Mapi used older software that was out of date and in need of a refresh.
“We are taking advantage of new technology to provide a better experience for our community,” she said. “People use Mapi to access all sorts of information, from contractors looking up services to members of the community accessing property information and aerial imagery.”
The new version of Mapi will be live at taupo.govt.nz/mapi in January with an exact date to be confirmed in the new year.
