Resealing work on Spa Road starts Sunday

It’s a busy weekend on our roads with IRONMAN New Zealand in town, and on Sunday, March 28 our contractor will begin resealing work on Spa Road.

The work is being carried out on two sites along Spa Road, from Opepe Street to the Pihanga Street shops, and north of the Pihanga Street intersection to Totara Street. Traffic management will be in place from 7am on Sunday with a one way route up Spa Road from Opepe Street to Tauhara Road, and traffic wishing to travel down Spa Road being detoured via Rifle Range Road and/or Scannell Street to link back onto Spa Road at Titiraupenga Street.

Residents west of Spa Road on Waikato Street, Huka Street, Motutahae Street, Motutere Avenue, Rickit Street, Peach Grove and Riverbank Road will be detoured to enter and exit this area from Opepe Street.

Please drive safe in the area. Our contractors will be working hard to get the job done on Sunday, with road sweeping and marking scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, weather permitting.
