Taupo District Council launch new venue booking platform

Taupō District Council has launched Bookable, a new online platform that makes it easier to explore council venues and submit booking requests in one place.

From sportsgrounds and indoor sporting facilities, to parks and reserves and event venues big and small, Bookable brings our full range of event spaces together in a single, easy‑to‑use platform. Whether you're planning a sports tournament, community meeting, cultural festival, or major event, it’s now easier than ever to book your go-to venue at taupodc.bookable.co.nz/.

The initial launch is focused on improving the user experience with all venues in one dedicated platform, with an easy-to-use search and filters to help find the best venue for your event. For the first time, users will be able to view their existing bookings to help with event planning and making a recurring booking will be a lot easier too.

We’re already planning the next phases to further streamline the booking process. In a future update, you will be able to view venue availability in real-time, with the option to book and pay online too.

We’re keen for event organisers to try the new platform and we welcome any feedback to help shape future improvements to the platform and booking experience.

The Bookable platform is used by councils throughout New Zealand and Australia, and has been developed in partnership with specialist events solution company Attekus.
