Stock Movement Permits
A stock movement permit is needed to move livestock on public roads and state highways. The permit provides guidelines on how livestock can safely be moved on public roads and allows us to advise other road users where livestock is likely to be encountered.

Vehicle Crossing Permit
Vehicle Crossing Permit bonds are not currently applicable. For enquiries, contact transport@taupo.govt.nz
Vehicle crossings and access ways must be built in a way that is safe for all road users.
Access ways must be fit for purpose and consistent with community requirements, which are recorded in our District Plan and Code of Practice for Development Standards. Charges may apply.
There are different vehicle crossings for rural and urban locations, as well as for light and heavy vehicles use.
