The entrance to Wairākei Drive from the SH1/SH5 intersection will be closed overnight on Sunday while essential road resurfacing work is carried out.
The closure will be in place from 9pm on Sunday, 20 September, until 6am on Monday, 21 September, weather permitting. During this time, southbound traffic will not be able to enter Wairākei Drive from the SH1/SH5 intersection.
- Closure times: 9pm Sunday 20 September to 6am Monday 21 September
- Detour: Drivers travelling towards Taupō are asked to use the East Taupō Arterial route
- Traffic travelling north on Wairākei Dr will still be able to access the intersection as normal.
The overnight closure is required to allow crews to complete important resurfacing repairs safely and efficiently.
