We work hard to get fresh, clean, safe drinking water to homes and businesses across the Taupō District every day.
Our water comes from Lake Taupō, rivers, springs and bores, and is treated, tested and monitored before it reaches your tap. While we call it drinking water, it’s used for much more than drinking. We use it for cooking, cleaning, showering, washing clothes, caring for pets, watering gardens and firefighting in urban areas.
