Entrance to Napier Rd from SH1/SH5 closed overnight: 6-10 October
Road works and closures
The entrance to Napier Road from the SH1/SH5 intersection will be closed across four nights next week, while essential road repairs and resealing work is carried out.
The closures will take place overnight only between the hours of 7.30pm and 5am, with the first closure starting 7.30pm Tuesday 6 October and the last closure finishing 5am Saturday 10 October, weather permitting.
- During the closure times, traffic will not be able to enter Napier Road from the SH1/SH5 roundabout.
- The entrance to Napier Road will reopen each day between 5am and 7.30pm.
- Traffic travelling east on Napier Road will still be able to access the SH1/SH5 intersection as normal at all times.
- Detour routes will be clearly signposted from the East Taupō Arterial and SH1/SH5 intersection
- Access to NPD, Starbucks, Burger King and other businesses will continue to be available at all times off Napier Road.
