Tūrangi toilet rebuild brought forward
A rebuild of the public toilet block on Te Rangitautahanga Road in Tūrangi, originally scheduled for the second half of 2026, has been brought forward to this year.
While the building is being reconstructed we are bringing in a temporary toilet block which will be installed outside the Turtle Pools, to the left of the main entrance, in a spot where they can be plumbed into the sewerage system. We expect these to arrive on site soon.
In the meantime, the public is welcome to use the toilets at the Turtle Pools. The pools are closed for swimming until 26 May for repainting; but the building is open for people needing to use the toilet.
While we don’t have a start date for the rebuild of the public toilets yet, we expect it to be in the next few months.
