New look for online mapping service
News
Taupō District Council’s online mapping service, known as Mapi, has been upgraded onto a more stable, modern and mobile-responsive platform.
Mapi is used to access a huge range of Geographic Information System (GIS) spatial data, from infrastructure and services to property information, aerial imagery and so much more. The new ‘Experience Builder’ platform has a cleaner look and improved functionality that provides a more reliable user-experience now and into the future.
Highlights at a glance:
- Faster response times on mobile: The new Mapi is designed with mobile users in mind.
- Cleaner layout: Simplified navigation with the most commonly used tools quick and easy to access
- Layers grouped by themes: No more endless scrolling! The 90+ layers are now organised into 19 themes so you can quickly find what you need.
- Modern technology: Built on the latest software for better performance and stability.
- New and upgraded tools: More advanced Mapi users will enjoy the new elevation profile tool, while the enhanced measuring tool includes a snapping drawing aid.
