Iconic triathlon returns to Kinloch this weekend

More than just a race, the Seven Oaks Kinloch Triathlon Festival has been on the calendar since 1985, making it one of New Zealand’s oldest races.
Saturday 14 February - the Aquathlon (swim and run only), with the chance to qualify for the World Triathlon Championships.
Sunday 15 February - the Triathlon, with various ages and abilities competing.
To keep the athletes safe there are some road closures around Kinloch on Sunday only:
- Kinloch Road (from Mata Place to Lisland Drive) closed between 7.45am to 1.30pm.
- Mata Place (from Kinloch Road to entry into Kinloch Domain) closed between 7.45am to 1.30pm.
- Residents will be able to enter and exit these streets between races by following the marshal’s directions.
- Kinloch Road and Kenrigg Road – speed reduction from 50km/h to 30km/h.
- Lisland Drive to Oakdale Drive – speed reduction from 50km/h to 30km/h applies.
- Kinloch Domain is open for event parking.
