IRONKIDZ triathlon returns this weekend

Get ready kids, the ever-popular Wairakei Estate IRONKIDZ triathlon is back this Sunday 1 March.

Everyone is a winner and having fun is the name of the game.

The IRONKIDZ Triathlon is for seven to fifteen year olds, while the younger five to seven year age group can take part in the Splash & Dash event, with a splash in the lake and a dash along the lakefront.

The course is based on Lake Terrace, with a swim along the beach, a circuit ride towards the Lake Taupō Hole in One, and a run toward Three Mile Bay.

To keep everybody safe there will be road closures in place as follows:

• Lake Terrace will be closed between Ruapehu Street and Mere Road from 4am to 4pm on Sunday 1 March.
