This Saturday 7 March sees two amazing events swim, bike and run into the Taupō District!
The ANZCO Foods IRONMAN New Zealand returns and for the first time ever in NZ, the Experience Oman IRONMAN Pro Series hits our shores.
This year we’ve had a record number of registrations from athletes representing 57 countries. Let’s show every single man and woman we’re right behind them!
The weekend will be busy with all the racing taking place on Saturday.
There will be road closures and speed restrictions from Thursday 5 March to Sunday 8 March.
- The event village and finish line are situated on Tongariro North Domain. Head on down and cheer on the athletes.
- Taupō Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre will be closed for the day on Saturday 7 March due to Broadlands Road being closed.
- Tongariro Street Bus Stop will be closed so buses will temporarily operate from Pāora Hapi Street from 5am Friday 6 March to 4am Sunday 8 March.
- Taupō Boat Harbour and Marina are open on Saturday 7 March with access via Redoubt Street.
