Weather warnings
UPDATED 3pm Monday 13 April
MetService New Zealand has advised that Cyclone Vaianu has now moved away to the southeast of the North Island. All cyclone-related weather warnings and watches for the Taupō District have been lifted.
A separate heavy rain watch is currently in place for the western side of the Taupō District until 8pm on Monday 13 April.
All our landfill and transfer station facilities in the district reopened on Monday 13 April.
