New self-service checkout machines coming to our libraries

New self-service checkout machines are coming to our Taupō, Tūrangi and Mangakino libraries, making it even easier to borrow your next great read.

The machines will make borrowing library items quicker and easier. At Taupō and Tūrangi, they will also provide a convenient way to pay for printing services. Library staff will still be on hand to help whenever needed.

Taupō and Tūrangi libraries will also be getting new after-hours return slots, giving you more flexibility to return items at a time that suits you.

Work on the return slots begins on 12 October, followed by the checkout machines from 19 October.

The upgrades are expected to have minimal impact on library services. While you may see contractors on site, it will be business as usual for local bookworms and library visitors.
