Turn your scraps into garden gold and win
If you are keen to reduce waste and grow healthier gardens, come along and learn the basics of composting at a free community workshop later this month.
Composting is a simple and cost-effective way to turn food scraps and garden waste into nutrient-rich compost, helping households cut down on rubbish while creating a natural fertiliser for flowers, vegetables and fruit trees.
The hands-on workshop will cover the fundamentals of home composting, including:
- how to get started
- what materials can be composted
- how to keep a compost system thriving year-round
Whether you’re looking to grow summer strawberries, improve your vegetable garden or give your lemon tree a boost, the workshop aims to provide practical tips for gardeners of all experience levels.
Participants will also go in the draw to win a worm farm.
