Development overview
A new industrial property development adjacent to Crown Road has been completed with the creation of 18 industrial lots on Council-owned land.
The new lots will be a welcome addition with the Taupo district seeing solid growth in recent years, particularly around small and medium businesses. Being able to support that growth by freeing up land and developing it for industrial lots is a win-win for the district as it not only means more jobs for locals but also raises revenue.
The development has seen significant improvements to stormwater management in the area including new native plants in the surrounding gullies. We have also added a pathway along the gully’s edge to link Crown Road with the ETA shared pathway and improve connectivity for our cycleways.
The development has been carried out in three stages, with the final stage being completed in June 2025, bringing a total of 18 freehold titles ranging from 1508m² to 8085m².
