Council opening hours over Labour weekend

Labour weekend is nearly here! Here's a summary of opening hours across council facilities on Labour Day, Monday 27 October:

A reminder that if you need to contact Council at any time, you can call us on 07 376 0899 or 0800 ASK TDC (0800 275 832). This is a 24/7 service.

• Kerbside rubbish and recycling collections: running as normal on Labour Day. So if Monday is your pickup day please make sure everything is kerbside by 7.30am as usual.
• Landfill and transfer stations: all open on Monday, with the exception of Kinloch Transfer Station which is closed.
• Customer and Visitor Information Centres: on Labour Day Taupō and Tūrangi will be open from 10am to 1pm. but Mangakino will be closed for the day. Normal opening hours apply at all centres on Saturday and Sunday.
• Libraries: all closed for the day on Monday (and Sunday). All libraries will be open on Saturday as usual.
• Taupō Museum: open from 10am to 4.30pm every day over the long weekend, including Labour Day.
• AC Baths: open every day over the long weekend, including Monday, from 7am to 7pm. The same hours apply at the Taupo Events Centre and Fitness Studio.
• Turtle Pools: open every day with normal hours applying – that is 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday, and 8.30am to 6pm on Monday.
