Elections 2025

Local elections are held every three years. In the Taupō District, the local elections give eligible residents and ratepayers the chance to vote for a Mayor for the district and councillor/s in their local ward. This year is a bit different as there is also a binding poll on the future of the Māori Ward.

Voting in the 2025 local elections closed at noon on Saturday 11 October and the final results are available below.
