The Remuneration Authority sets the base remuneration for all elected members of local authorities including community boards. It also sets allowances and expenses. Our Expenses and Allowances Policy sets out rules for elected members wishing to claim expenses and the resources that will be available to them during the 2025-28 Triennium of Council.
For transparency, elected members expenses are published monthly and are generally available two months after expenditure was incurred. The reports may be subject to change if members submit claims retrospectively after publication.
