Email opt in terms and conditions

Definitions

• ‘We” means Taupō District Council.
• “Invoices” means rates invoices and valuations and any other type of invoice you opt to get by email.

Terms and conditions

1. The opt in authorisation covers rate invoices and valuations. You may choose to opt in to get other items by email, as listed on the form.
2. Only the current property owner may apply to get rates invoices by email.
3. We will issue only one rates invoice per property.
4. We will start emailing you invoices at the next available billing period.
5. We are not responsible if we are unable to email you because your email address is invalid.
6. If we are unable to send an email to you, we will post you a hard copy to your last known postal address.
7. You confirm that the email address you provide is correct and that you will let us know if it changes by emailing us at info@taupo.govt.nz.
8. You are responsible for checking your email regularly, including spam or junk folders.
9. We will handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020 and our privacy statement.
