Pre-school (3-5 years)

These classes develop water confidence and water safety skills. Through games and activities, children are introduced to breath control, submerging, floating, kicking and basic arm strokes. If your child has not had any previous swimming lessons and is unable to confidently put their face in the water they will start at the beginner level.

Tiny Turtles

Four students per class, 25 minutes

In this class students will learn the following skills:

safe entry and exit into the pool
moving confidently in the pool
submerging and picking up an object from the bottom of the pool
independent front float
assisted back float
introduction to kicking

Star Fish

Four students per class, 25 minutes

In this class students will learn the following skills:

independent back float
push and glide on front
push and glide on back
kicking with aid
doggy paddle with aid

Whipa Snapa

Four students per class, 25 minutes

In this class students will learn the following skills:

streamlined kicking on front
backstroke kicking with sculling
doggy paddle with long arms
horizontal rotation

School holidays swimming programme

During the school holidays we offer an intensive week of swimming lessons for pre-school levels and above. Your child will have a lesson daily for this week. These programmes are great for retaining and improving swimming skills over the holidays. We have both group and private lessons during this period.
